Reporting asks Clanio to review a user, group, message, photo, chat, or behavior you believe violates our terms or creates a safety concern. Filing a report doesn't prove a violation occurred or guarantee enforcement. Blocking is a personal tool that limits communication and visibility with a user or group — it doesn't automatically open an investigation. When there's a real violation or danger, use both.

You can report a user, profile, group, message, photo, voice message, chat, meetup proposal, an event that happened at a meetup created through Clanio, or related off-app behavior. Report the most specific item possible.

Report categories include spam or fraud, harassment or bullying, inappropriate content, fake profile or impersonation, suspected underage user, and safety concerns (threats, physical or sexual harm, coercion, human trafficking). Report from within the app, or email safety@clanio.co when that's not possible.

In an emergency

Clanio is not an emergency service and cannot guarantee a real-time response. In immediate danger, contact emergency services first: Israel Police 100, MDA (ambulance) 101, Fire and Rescue 102. You can still report to Clanio afterward.

After a report, Clanio may review the content, request more information, apply a temporary restriction, remove or hide content, or close the report with or without enforcement action. Depending on severity, Clanio may not act, warn, restrict account functions, freeze a Match or chat, suspend, or permanently close an account or remove a group — and may act immediately, without notice, in cases of real safety risk.

As a rule, Clanio will not disclose a reporter's identity to the person reported, except where legally required. The person reported also has a right to privacy — Clanio does not commit to sharing the full details of a review with the reporter.

Retaliation against someone who reported or blocked you, and knowingly false or abusive reports, are both serious violations of these guidelines.

If you believe an enforcement decision was made in error, you can appeal in writing to safety@clanio.co. You cannot appeal another user's personal decision to block you — only Clanio's own enforcement actions.
